What’s going on?

You may have noticed that our current pattern of movement doesn’t match our long-term bimbling trend?!

After a few nights of camping, some sightseeing and some forward planning in Avignon, we have left our bikes with a bike shop there for a service. We’re hopeful it will go better than the last time we visited a bike shop, around 11,000km ago. Since then we’ve done all of our own maintenance but we’re using this opportunity to multitask. So far, since leaving Avignon, we’ve had a great day with Beck’s brother who is working in Provence for a few days. He also kindly brought down many bike parts we’d ordered to the UK for our service.

Next / currently we are off to Munich on a Flix Bus to visit my aunts and uncles. Haven’t seen them for a long while, so we’re looking forward to that.

Then we return to fetch our bikes and cycle over to the west coast of France to see my brother, sister-in-law and four nephews. My mum is heading over too.

Then we cycle over the Pyrenees to a place near Barcelona that Beck’s family can come and join us in.

Should be a nice mixture of cycling and seeing folk, which we are looking forward to because we haven’t seen family for a good while now and…I…think…we’ve…decided…to…head…to…South…America!

As ever, we reserve the right to change our minds, and we might yet have issues getting our bikes on that repositioning cruise but, that’s the general trajectory. Scary/exciting! Like all the best things in life.
